El Salvador

The El Salvador Secured Transactions Law was published in the Official Diary of El Salvador in October of 2013 providing that it would enter into force six months later. The registry of security interests on personal property was launched in October 2014. Deviating from the other recently enacted laws in the Americas, the Registry charges fees based on the amount of the secured obligation.
