Syria has no comprehensive security interest framework. Rather, the laws governing security interests are contained in fragments of the following statutes:

• The Civil Code
• The Commercial Code
• Companies Law
• Financial Leasing Law
• Islamic Law

There also is no unified registry for security interests.
