Yemen has no comprehensive security interest framework. Rather, the laws governing security interests are contained in fragments of the following statutes:

• The Commercial Code
• The Civil Code
• The Code of Civil Procedure
• Commercial Companies Law
• Islamic Law
• Leasing Law
• Motor Vehicle Laws

There also is no unified registry for security interests.
